Ice Storm Response – April 2, 2025

With more weather expected later today (April 2, 2025) a reminder to only call 9-1-1 in an emergency situation.   This will help keep lines open for those requiring emergency assistance.

Stolen Vehicle Investigation

Officers with the Peterborough Police Service continue to investigate after three vehicles were reported stolen during the early morning hours of Wednesday, March 26, 2025.

Stunt Driving Charge

A 25-year-old driver is facing a stunt driving charge after a traffic stop in Peterborough Wednesday evening.

At approximately 8:50pm on March 26, 2025, an officer from the Traffic Unit was on general patrol in the area of Water Street and Marina Boulevard.  A vehicle was spotted travelling at a high rate of speed and was recorded going 109 in a 50km/h zone.

Stunt Driving Charge

A 23-year-old driver is facing a stunt driving charge after a traffic stop in Peterborough Tuesday morning.

At approximately 7:30am on March 25, 2025, an officer from the Traffic Unit was on general patrol in the area of Lily Lake Road and Ackison Road.  A vehicle was spotted travelling at a high rate of speed and was recorded going 99 in a 50km/h zone. 

As a result, the driver was charge with:

  • Stunt in excess of 40km/hr
