Assault Arrest
A 28-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after an incident early Thursday morning.
At approximately 12:30am on June 20, 2024, officers were called to a residence in the Stenson Boulevard and Brealey Drive area about a disturbance. Please be aware that there will be a heavier Peterborough Police presence in Peterborough today (Thursday, June 20, 2024).
Emergency services personnel including the Emergency Response Team will be in the area of Townsend Street and Aylmer Street for a training exercise throughout the morning.

Attempted Murder Arrest
A man wanted in connection with an attempted murder over the weekend has been arrested.
On Wednesday, June 19, 2024, officers with the Peterborough Police Service along with the PPS Emergency Response Team (ERT) arrested a 22-year-old Peterborough man in the Bancroft area.
As a result of an ongoing investigation, a 22-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Attempt Murder
- Aggravated Assault
- Unauthorized Possession of prohibited firearm
- Trafficking in firearms

Cows Returned
The Peterborough Police Service was called early Wednesday morning after a herd of cows was spotted travelling northbound on County Road 28 around 1:15am. About 25 cows had escaped from their field in the area of County Road 28 and Moore Drive. The owner was located, and the cows safely returned.
