We value our members efforts and would like to recognize their personal actions and contributions. If you would like to acknowledge a member of our Service, please provide details via e-mail to email@example.com.
Chief Gilbert and the entire Police Service would like to thank you for taking the time and effort to share your comments.
Our vision is to provide a high standard of professionalism. Your comments and opinions are important to us. Perhaps you have a suggestion for improvement, or had an experience that doesn’t warrant a complaint, but that you wish addressed. We welcome your comments. Please let us know whether or not you would like a call in response to your comments.
Please take a moment to provide us with your comments and feedback via e-mail to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are committed to working with all members of our community. We strive to maintain positive interaction and communication with all members of the communities we serve. It is only by bringing your concerns to our attention that we can effectively address them.
If you have a complaint about the conduct of a police officer, or about the services or policies of the Police Service, you may choose to:
- Speak to the Officer in Charge of the station about it at 705-876-1122 on any day or time.
- Contact Policing Standards about it during regular business hours at 705-876-1122.
- Contact the Office of the Independent Police Review Director (O.I.P.R.D.)
Formal complaints can be filed with our Policing Standards office, the Office of the Independent Police Review Director (O.I.P.R.D.), or at any police station/detachment in Ontario. The O.I.P.R.D. is a police oversight body, staffed entirely by civilians and accountable to the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General. Decisions are independent from the government, police, and the community.
Learn more about the public complaints system and how to make a complaint against police by visiting the O.I.P.R.D. website at www.oiprd.on.ca or attend any police station to access pamphlets and forms.
