Arson Investigation Update
The investigation into the 2 arsons on Thursday February 5, 2026 is ongoing.
As this is an early and active investigation, we are exploring all possibilities in the course of this investigation. An increase in fires is always a concern for the Peterborough Police Service. Our main priority is public safety. These acts have the potential to put lives at risk within our community.
In this video below, you will see a person breaking the front window of a business and the fire start.
We would like to encourage business owners and the public to report any suspicious activity.
Anyone with any information regarding the ongoing investigation is asked to call the Peterborough Police Crime Line at 705-876-1122 x555 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.stopcrimehere.ca
