Stunt Driving Arrest

An 18-year-old driver is facing a stunt driving charge after a stop on Water Street Thursday evening.

At approximately 6:30pm on September 18, 2025, an officer was on general patrol in the area of Water Street and Marina Blvd. A vehicle was recorded going 113 km/hr in a 50km/hr zone. The officer activated their emergency lights and conducted a traffic stop.

As a result, the 18-year-old driver was issued a ticket for stunt driving and was given a 30-day license suspension and 14-day vehicle impoundment.

 

 

 

 

Resist Arrest/ Assault Peace Officer Arrest

A 38-year-old Peterborough woman is facing numerous charges after an incident Thursday afternoon.

At approximately 12:30pm on Thursday September 18, 2025, officers were at a business located near the Borden Ave and High Street area. Officers were speaking with an employee outside, when they were alerted by employees from inside the business of a theft taking place. Officers pursued the female, locating her in an adjacent parking lot. During the arrest, the female actively resisted arrest and kicked the officers.  

Through the investigation it was determined that the accused was also wanted in connection with other incidents.

As a result, a 38-year-old Peterborough woman was arrested and charged with:

  • Assault a Peace Officer x2
  • Resist Peace Officer
  • Theft Under $5,000 x3
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order x3

The accused is being held in custody and will be seen in court Friday, September 19, 2025.
