Hit and Run Incident
The Peterborough Police Service is investigating after a hit and run incident on Saturday.
At approximately 5:30pm on May 9, 2026, on Marsdale Drive as vehicle travelling upwards of 90km/h lost control and collided with a parked vehicle in a residential driveway.
The driver and vehicle failed to stay at the scene which was also in a school zone. The vehicle is believed to be an early 2000’s Silver Chevrolet Sedan, possibly a Cobalt.

Stunt Drive
A 24-year-old Peterborough man is facing stunt and speeding charges after an incident Sunday.
At approximately 10:40am on May 10, 2026, officers on general patrol in the Lily Lake Road and Dolman Street recorded a vehicle travelling 93km/h in 50km/h zone.
As a result, a 24-year-old Peterborough man was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:
- Perform Stunt – speeding by 40 or more km/hr in a zone that is less than 80km/h
- Speeding
The driver was issued an automatic 30-day license suspension and 14-day vehicle impoundment.
