Mischief Arrest

A 47-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after a number of business windows were smashed overnight. 

At approximately 12:50am on Friday, July 11, 2025, officers were called to the area of Hunter Street between Aylmer and George Streets.  Upon arrival, they located a man matching the description given to police.  Through investigation it was learned that the suspect was also connected to two other incidents in that area. 

As a result, a 47-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:

  • Mischief - destroys or damages property X3
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order X2

The accused is currently bound by two probation orders with the following condition: to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, July 11, 2025. 

 

Assault Arrest

A 29-year-old Peterborough man is facing a charge after an incident Thursday evening.

At approximately 7:00pm on July 10, 2025, officers were called about a disturbance at a residence in the Aylmer Street and Townsend Street area. Upon arrival, officers spoke to the victim who had fled the residence after being slapped.  While speaking to the victim, the suspect came out to the street and threatened to set his dogs on officers.  He was taken into custody. During arrest the dogs escaped from the yard and ran at officers but were corralled by a witness.

As a result of the investigation, a 29-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:

  • Assault -Spousal

The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court, July 11, 2025. 

 

Warrant Arrest

A 34-year-old Peterborough woman wanted on warrants was arrested Thursday afternoon.

At approximately 2:50pm on July 10, 2025, officers on general patrol in the Dalhousie Street and Park Street North area saw the woman who was wanted on two robbery charges, theft under $5000 for incidents in the fall of 2024 and two fail to attend court charges from this year.  Officers approached the woman and took her into custody.

The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, July 11, 2025.
