Impaired Arrest

A 19-year-old Peterborough man is facing an impaired charge after an incident Thursday night.

At approximately 9:00pm on May 8, 2025, officers were called to the area of Armour Hill after report of a collision between two vehicles and one vehicle fleeing the scene.  While searching for the second vehicle, officers received a call that the driver was at the police station.  While speaking to them, officers noticed signs of impairment.  The vehicle was later located in a parking lot near Armour Road and Hunter Street East.  No one was injured in the collision.

As a result of the investigation, a 19-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:

  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Careless driving (Highway Traffic Act)

The accused was issued a 90-day license suspension and seven-day vehicle impoundment.

The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court June 17, 2025.

 

Warrant Arrest

A 21-year-old Peterborough woman wanted on a warrant is facing more charges after an incident Thursday evening.

At approximately 9:30pm on May 8, 2025, officers were called to a residence in the area of Sherbrooke Street and Alexander Avenue. Upon arrival, the woman was spotted running away from the area. Officers gave chase.  During the arrest, the woman struck the officer in the face and then kicked an officer while at the police station.

As a result of the investigation, a 21-year-old Peterborough woman was arrested on the strength of the warrant for failing to comply with probation and fail to comply with a release and was further charged with:

  • Assault a Peace Officer X2
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order

The accused is currently bound by a probation order with the following condition: to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, May 9, 2025.

 

Warrant Arrests

Two Peterborough wanted on warrants were arrested Thursday by officers on general patrol.

A 40-year-old Peterborough man was taken into custody as he was wanted for break and enter X2, fail to comply with probation and failure to attend court after having appeared. 

The accused was held in custody and appeared in court May 8, 2025.

A 20-year-old Peterborough man was taken into custody as he was wanted for failing to comply with probation and failing to comply with an appearance notice.

The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, May 9, 2025.
