Warrant/Drug Arrest

A 43-year-old Peterborough man wanted on warrants is now facing more charges.

At approximately 12:40pm on October 23, 2025, officers on bike patrol in the Bethune Street and Brock Street area spotted the man and took him into custody on the strength of the warrants.  During a search after arrest, officers located a quantity of drugs in a backpack. 

They seized:

  • 37.7 grams of Cocaine
  • 7.6 grams of Fentanyl
  • 10 Hydromorphone pills
  • Scales

As a result of the investigation, a 43-year-old Peterborough man was also charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking- Other Drugs (Fentanyl)
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking- Other Drugs (Cocaine)
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking- Other Drugs

(Hydromorphone)

The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today October 24, 2025.

 

Intimate Partner Violence Warrant Arrest

A 43-year-old Peterborough man wanted on a warrant connected to an intimate partner violence incident earlier this month is in custody.

At approximately 9:00pm on October 23, 2025, officers were made aware the man was in the Lansdowne Street West and Rye Street area and while checking the area spotted the man in a business.  When the man saw officers, he took off running out the back of the business. Officers gave chase and found him outside taking him into custody on the strength of the warrant.

The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court October 24, 2025.
