Impaired Arrest
A 23-year-old Bracebridge man is facing impaired charges after a concerned citizen called police.
At approximately 2:20am on Friday, September 5, 2025, officers were called about a possible impaired driver in The Parkway and Fisher Drive area. While on general patrol in the Charlotte Street and Park Street North area, an officer spotted the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. While speaking to the driver, the officer noticed signs of impairment.
As a result of the investigation, a 23-year-old Bracebridge man was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Entire plate not plainly visible (Highway Traffic Act)
The accused was issued a 90-day license suspension and a seven-day vehicle impoundment.
The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court October 14, 2025.
