Peterborough Police Service and Lansdowne Place partner up for the 18th Annual CopShop

The holidays are coming a little early for some local children this year, as Lansdowne Place and Peterborough Police Services, get ready to host the 18th annual CopShop event at Lansdowne Place on Thursday, December 5th from 10 am to 1 pm.

Twenty-six deserving children will enjoy a limo ride from school courtesy of Welsh Limousine and partnered with a Peterborough Police Officer who will volunteer their time and act as personal shoppers as CopShop kids enjoy shopping for loved ones with a $200 Gift Card each, compliments of Lansdowne Place.

“We are very excited that this program is returning as it’s always been an event our officers look forward to,” says Mike Peckham, Detective Constable, Peterborough Police Service. “This year we have about two dozen officers and civilian members volunteering their time to build positive relationships and spend time with our young people in a fun way.”

“It’s impossible not to be inspired by these incredible kids” says Helen Edwards, Property Manager for Lansdowne Place. “I still remember the very first time we hosted CopShop, it was magical and continues to be our favourite day of the year.”
