Impaired Arrest
A 67-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after an incident Saturday afternoon.
At approximately 5:30pm on February 22, 2025, officers were called by a concerned citizen about a possible impaired driver asleep at the wheel in a parking lot in the Brock Street and Reid Street area. Upon arrival, noticed the vehicle was on and when they woke the man up noticed signs of impairment.
As a result of the investigation, a 67-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was issued an automatic 90-day license suspension and a seven-day vehicle impoundment.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court April 1, 2025.
