Utter Threats Arrest
A 13-year-old Peterborough male is facing charges after an incident Friday afternoon at Lansdowne Place Mall.
At approximately 4:15pm on January 2, 2026, officers were called to the mall about a disturbance between two groups of young people that started outside the mall and ended inside the mall after being broken up by security officers. Upon arrival to the area, officers learned that several young people had fled the area. Officers then located several young people matching the description given to police a short distance away. One of the youths was identified as having threatened another teen and was taken into custody. During a search after arrest, officers located and seized a knife in the teen’s backpack.
As a result of the investigation, a 13-year-old Peterborough male was arrested and charged with:
- Uttering Threats - Cause death or Bodily Harm
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Disobeying Order of Court
The accused is currently bound by a peace bond to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He has also been trespassed from the mall property.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court February 10, 2026.
Impaired Arrest
A 43-year-old Lindsay woman is facing multiple charges after falling asleep in the driver’s seat in the intersection of Chemong Road and Milroy Drive on New Year’s Eve.
At approximately 12:30pm on December 31, 2025, officers we called to the intersection of Chemong Road and Milroy Drive regarding an unconscious female in the driver’s seat of a vehicle while in the intersection. Officers attend and upon speaking to the driver, they noticed signs of impairment.
As a result of the investigation, a 43-year-old Lindsay woman was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Possession of Scheduled I Substance – Cocaine
- Possession of Scheduled I Substance – Methamphetamine
- Driving while under suspension (HTA)
The accused was issued an automatic 90-day license suspension and a seven-day vehicle impoundment.
The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court in February 2026.
Impaired arrest
A 36-year-old Peterborough man is facing impaired charges after a vehicle was parked on the road near Ashburnham Drive and Lansdowne Street.
At approximately 3:00pm on December 31, 2025, officers were dispatched to the area of Ashburnham Drive and Lansdowne Street in response to a suspicious vehicle. Officers attended and located a 36-year-old Peterborough man in the driver’s seat. The officers noticed signs of impairment when speaking to the driver, as well as beer cans located within the vehicle.
As a result of the investigation, a 36-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
The accused was issued an automatic 90-day license suspension and a seven-day vehicle impoundment.
The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court in February 2026.
