Drug Search Warrant Arrest
On May 1st , 2026, the Peterborough Police Service Drug Investigation Unit, with the assistance of the Emergency Response Team, executed a search warrant at a Murray Street address in Peterborough.
The following items were located during the search of the residence:
- 6 grams of Crystal methamphetamine
- 40 grams of Fentanyl
- 47.5 grams of Cocaine
- Hydromorphone Pills X2
- 3.2 grams of Psilocybin
- Canadian Currency
As a result of the investigation a 39-year-old female was charged with the following:
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking X4
- Possession of a schedule III substance for the purpose of trafficking X1
- Possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000.00
The accused was held for Weekend and Statutory Holiday (WASH) court on May 2nd, 2026.
Impaired Arrest
A 22-year-old Warsaw man is facing charges after an incident in Peterborough early Sunday morning.
At approximately 3:30am on May 3, 2026, officers were called to the area of Armour Hill about cars backfiring and revving their engines. Upon arrival to the area, officers spotted two vehicles. While speaking to the driver of one of the vehicles, officers noticed signs of impairment.
As a result of the investigation, a 22-year-old Warsaw man was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Having care or control of a motor vehicle with open container of liquor (Liquor License Control Act)
- Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available (Cannabis Control Act)
The accused was issued an automatic 90-day license suspension and seven-day vehicle impoundment.
The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court, June 16, 2026.
Theft Arrest
A 55-year-old Peterborough woman is facing two charges in connection with theft from vehicles in the past month.
At approximately 12:30pm on Saturday, May 2, 2026, officers were called to the area of Dalhousie Street and George Street North. Upon arrival, officers learned that a woman had been spotted entering a vehicle, taking cash and leaving the area on foot. A woman matching the description given to police was located in the Rubidge Street and Townsend Street area and was taken into custody. Through investigation it was determined that the same suspect was wanted in connection with another theft from vehicle incident reported online on April 14, 2026, in which cash and some other items were taken.
As a result, a 55-year-old Peterborough woman was arrested and charged with:
- Theft Under $5000 X2
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court July 21, 2026.
