Impaired Arrest

A 47-year-old Peterborough man is facing impaired charges after an incident early Sunday morning.

At approximately 12:00am on November 16, 2025, officers were called to a parking lot in the area of Brock Street and Water Street after a concerned citizen called police. Upon arrival, officers located the driver in a running vehicle and noticed signs of impairment.  The man was taken into custody and brought to the station for further testing, which he refused.

As a result of the investigation, a 47-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:

  • Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand

The accused was issued an automatic 90-day license suspension and seven-day vehicle impoundment. 

The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court December 30, 2025.

 

Theft/Warrant Arrest

A 35-year-old Peterborough man wanted on warrants for theft has been arrested and is facing more charges.

At approximately 12:30pm on Friday, November 14, 2025, officers were called to a store in the High Street and Borden Avenue area. While on their way there, officers with Community F.I.R.S.T spotted a man matching the description given to police walking through a parking lot and took him into custody.  During a search after arrest, officers located the stolen product and returned it to the store.  Officers further learned that the man was wanted on a warrant for 11 charges of theft under $5000, 25 charges of failure to comply with probation, trespass by night, use of stolen credit card, two (2) charges of failure to comply with release order and two (2) charges of fail to appear – identification. He was also wanted on a second warrant for failure to attend court after having appeared. 

As a result of the investigation, a 35-year-old Peterborough man was arrested on the strength of the warrants and further charged with:

  • Theft Under $5000
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order x2

The accused is currently bound by two probation orders with the following condition: to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

The accused was held in custody and appeared in Weekend and Statutory Holiday (WASH) court on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at which time he was remanded into custody.  He will appear in court today, November 17, 2025.

 

Theft Arrest

A 38-year-old Peterborough woman is facing charges in connection with two recent theft incidents.

On Friday, November 14, 2025, officers with Community F.I.R.S.T were called to a store in the Aylmer Street and Charlotte Street area about a theft that had happened the evening of November 13, 2025, in which several items were taken from the store.  Officers reviewed information and identified a suspect.

On Saturday, November 15, 2025, officers with Community F.I.R.S.T were reviewing an online theft report and recognized the same suspect as the person wanted in connection with the theft on Friday, November 14, 2025.

As a result of the investigation, a 38-year-old Peterborough woman was arrested and charged with:

  • Theft Under $5000 X2
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order x8
  • Failure to comply with release order - other than to attend court

The accused is currently bound by four probation orders with conditions including: to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to remain away from all Shoppers Drug Mart stores in Peterborough. 

The accused is currently bound by a release order with the following condition: to remain in their residence between 10pm and 6am.

The accused was held in custody and appeared in Weekend and Statutory Holiday (WASH) court on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at which time the accused was remanded into custody.  The accused will appear in court today, Monday, November 17, 2025.


Warrant Arrest

A 23-year-old Peterborough woman wanted on multiple warrants has been arrested.

At approximately 1:00am on Monday, November 17, 2025, officers were called to a disturbance call. Upon arrival, officers located a woman wanted on warrants for 12 counts of Theft Under $5000, three (3) failure to comply with undertaking, failure to attend court while on release order, obstruct peace officer, two (2) fail to comply with appearance notice, and fail to comply with release order.

As a result, a 23-year-old Peterborough woman was taken into custody on the strength of the warrants.

The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, November 17, 2025.

 

Warrant Arrest

A 45-year-old Peterborough man wanted on warrants has been arrested.

At approximately 1:30pm on Sunday, November 16, 2025, officers with Community F.I.R.S.T were on general patrol in the Ashburnham Drive and Lansdowne Street area when they spotted a man wanted on warrants for failure to comply with a probation order X3, failure to comply with an appearance notice, failure to comply with a release order and failure to attend court after having appeared.

As a result, a 45-year-old Peterborough man was taken into custody on the strength of the warrants. 

The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, November 17, 2025.
