Impaired Arrest

A 20-year-old Bancroft man is facing impaired charges after a single vehicle collision early Saturday morning.

At approximately 3:10am on November 22, 2025, officers were called to a vehicle into a hydro pole at Water Street and Langton Street. Upon arrival, officers located the driver and conducted a roadside test.

As a result of the investigation, a 20-year-old Bancroft man was arrested and charged with:

  • Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Careless Driving (Highway Traffic Act)

The accused was issued an automatic 90-day license suspension and seven-day vehicle impoundment. 

The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court December 30, 2025.

 

Impaired Arrest

A 19-year-old Hastings man is facing impaired charges after an incident early Saturday morning.

At approximately 2:45am on November 22, 2025, officers on general patrol in the Water Street and Sherbrooke Street area conducted a traffic stop.  Upon speaking with the driver, officers noticed signs of impairment.

As a result of the investigation, a 19-year-old Hastings man was arrested and charged with:

  • Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Novice driver BAC above zero (Highway Traffic Act)
  • Driving while under suspension (Highway Traffic Act)
  • Drive without proper headlights - motor vehicle (Highway Traffic Act)

The accused was issued an automatic 90-day license suspension and seven-day vehicle impoundment.

The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court, December 30, 2025.

 

Traffic Stop Arrest

A 27-year-old Peterborough man wanted on warrants is facing more charges after a traffic stop on Sunday night.

At approximately 11:50pm on November 23, 2025, officers on general patrol in the Park Street and Dalhousie Street area when they noticed a vehicle almost strike another vehicle and then aggressively change lanes.  They conducted a traffic stop and upon speaking with the passenger became aware that they were wanted on a warrant for failing to attend for fingerprints.  After arrest, the man spat on the officer. 

As a result of the investigation, a 27-year-old Peterborough man was arrested on the strength of the warrant and further charged with:

  • Assault a Peace Officer
  • Breach of Recognizance

The accused is currently bound by a peace bond with the following condition: to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, November 24, 2025.

 

Theft Under Arrest

A 43-year-old Peterborough woman wanted on warrants is facing more charges after an incident on Sunday.

At approximately 6:50pm on November 23, 2025, officers were called to a business in the Borden Avenue and High Street about a theft in progress. Upon arrival, officers located a woman matching the description given to police and took her into custody on the strength of the warrants.  The woman was wanted for assault x2, assault with a weapon, theft under $5000, fail to attend, breach of probation x2, possession of property obtained by crime, and failing to attend court while on release order. 

During a search after arrest, officers located some items that had been taken from the store and another business.  The property was returned.

As a result of the investigation, a 43-year-old Peterborough woman was arrested on the strength of the warrants and further charged with:

  • Theft Under $5000
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order

The accused is also currently bound by a probation order with the following condition: keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, November 24, 2025. 

 

Warrant Arrest

Officers with the Peterborough Police Service Community F.I.R.S.T Unit arrested a man wanted on warrants.

A 39-year-old Peterborough man wanted for Possession Schedule I Substance – Fentanyl Possession Schedule I Substance - Dilaudid and Possession of Property obtained by crime under $5000 x2 as well as failing to comply with Appearance notice for court/fingerprints was located and taken into custody. 

He appeared in Weekend and Statutory Holiday (WASH) court on Sunday, November 23, 2025.
