Impaired Arrest
A 37-year-old Stoney Creek man is facing charges after an incident Sunday morning.
At approximately 10:45am on Sunday, October 19, 2025, officers received a call about a vehicle that had hopped a curb into a parking lot at Peterborough Regional Health Centre. Upon speaking to the driver, officers detected signs of impairment.
As a result, a 37-year-old Stoney Creek man was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was issued an automatic 90-day license suspension and seven-day vehicle impoundment.
The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court December 2, 2025.
Fail to Remain – Information Sought - Update
Officers with the Traffic Management Unit have identified the driver in connection with this incident in August at the traffic light on Chemong Road that serves the Shoppers Drug Mart and Walmart plazas. A young boy suffered minor injuries. After further investigation, no charges will be laid. Thank you to the public for providing information. Please remove pictures from circulation.
