Impaired Arrest
A 36-year-old Peterborough man is facing impaired charges after a single vehicle collision early Wednesday morning.
At approximately 5:30am on February 11, 2026, officers were called to Lansdowne Street and River Road South about a vehicle that had run a redlight and struck a pole. Upon arrival, officers located a man who was out of the vehicle and being treated by paramedics. In speaking with the man, officers noticed signs of impairment.
As a result of the investigation, a 36-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was issued an automatic 90-day license suspension and seven-day vehicle impoundment.
The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court March 24, 2026.
