Community FIRST Arrest

A 31-year-old Peterborough man is facing a charge of breaching probation.

At approximately 9:50pm on January 8, 2025, officers with the Community FIRST Unit were conducting a proactive patrol of a parking garage in the area of Charlotte Street and Simcoe Street.  During the patrol, officers located the man in a stairwell, determined he was on a probation order not to be in the area and took him into custody. 

The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, January 9, 2025.

 

Warrant Arrest

A 33-year-old Peterborough woman wanted on a warrant was arrested Wednesday evening.

At approximately 11:00pm on January 8, 2025, officers on general patrol in the Paterson Street and Park Place area spotted a woman riding a bicycle.  They recognized the woman as being wanted and conducted a stop.  The woman fled on foot into the backyard of a nearby residence. Officers caught up to her and took her into custody.

As a result, a 33-year-old Peterborough was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant for theft under $5000 and failing to comply with probation.  The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, January 9, 2025.
