Prohibited Driver Arrest
A 22-year-old Peterborough man is facing a charge after an incident Wednesday afternoon.
At approximately 1:30pm on October 15, 2025, an officer on general patrol in the Sherbrooke Street and George Street area was alerted by Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) that the driver of the vehicle in front of them was a suspended driver. The officer conducted a traffic stop and took the driver into custody.
As a result of the investigation, a 22-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while prohibited
And the vehicle impounded for 45 days.
The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court November 25, 2025.
Assault Arrest
A 28-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after an incident Wednesday morning.
At approximately 6:50am on October 15, 2025, officers were called to a business in the Lansdowne Street and The Parkway area. Upon arrival, they learned that a man was asked to leave the store and before doing so spit on the employee. Officers located a man matching the description given to police a short distance away and took him into custody.
As a result of the investigation, a 28-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Assault
- Fail to comply with probation X3
The accused is currently bound by three probation orders with the following condition: to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
