Drug Arrest
A 33-year-old Peterborough man is facing multiple drug charges after an investigation as part of the Safer Public Spaces initiative.
At approximately 1:50pm on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, officers on general patrol in the Reid Street and Simcoe Street area spotted a man using drugs, approached him and took him into custody. During a search after arrest officers seized:
- 9.1 grams of Cocaine
- 40 Dilaudid pills
- 3 grams of Crack Cocaine
- 17.1 grams of Fentanyl
- 50.8 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine
- Prohibited switchblade knife
- Canadian Currency
- Credit card that had been reported stolen
As a result of the investigation, a 33-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Other Drugs
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Cocaine x2
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Other Drugs x2
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking-Opioid (other than heroin)
- Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000 - in Canada
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
- Failure to comply with prohibition order
The accused is currently bound a weapons prohibition order to not possess any firearm, crossbow, prohibited weapon, restricted weapon, prohibited device, ammunition, prohibited ammunition, or explosive substance.
The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, September 4, 2025.
