Theft Arrest

A 35-year-old Peterborough woman is facing charges after incidents at a Peterborough business.

On Sunday, February 23, 2025, officers were called to a business in the Charlotte Street and Aylmer Street area after a woman left the store without making an attempt to pay for several items.  Upon arrival, officers were unable to locate the suspect in the area.  The following day Monday, February 24, 2025, officers were called to the store again about the same woman leaving the store making no attempt to pay for items.  Officers were able to locate the suspect and took her into custody.  It was learned that there was a warrant for her arrest in connection with a theft incident in January 2025 and bail violations in in November and December 2024.  

As a result of the investigation, a 35-year-old Peterborough woman was arrested on the strength of the warrant and further charged with:

  • Theft Under $5000 X2
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order X2

The accused is currently bound by a probation with the following condition: to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court April 8, 2025.

 

Theft Arrest

A 37-year-old Peterborough woman is facing a theft charge after an incident at a Peterborough business.

At approximately 11:30am on Monday, February 24, 2025, officers were called to the business in the Lansdowne Street West and Clonsilla Avenue area.  Upon arrival, the Loss Prevention Officer had a woman detained.  Through investigation it was learned that about $460.00 worth of products had been taken from the store without payment. 

As a result, a 37-year-old Peterborough woman was arrested and charged with:

  • Theft under $5000

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court April 8, 2025.
