Stabbing Incident Update
A 33-year-old Peterborough man is facing several charges in connection with a stabbing Monday evening.
As a result of the investigation, 33-year-old Ethan Moxham of Peterborough was arrested and charged with:
- Aggravated Assault
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
The accused is currently bound by a probation order stemming from a break and enter and fail to comply with probation conviction in August of 2023. The probation order has the following condition: to not possess any weapon(s) as defined by the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, June 3, 2025.

Impaired Arrest
A 35-year-old Peterborough man is facing impaired charges after an incident Monday afternoon.
At approximately 12:45pm on June 2, 2025, officers were called to a parking lot in the Lansdowne Street West and High Street about a man passed out in a vehicle blocking a drive thru. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the driver and noticed signs of impairment. During a search after arrest, officers seized:
- 3.8grams of Fentanyl
- 3.1grams of Cocaine
As a result, a 35-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Other Drugs
The accused was also given an automatic 90-day license suspension and a seven-day vehicle impoundment.
The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court July 15, 2025.
