Warrant Arrest

A 40-year-old Peterborough woman wanted on three warrants was arrested by Community F.I.R.S.T officers Monday.

At approximately 2:00pm on March 23, 2026, the officers were on general patrol in the Park Street and Romaine Street area when they spotted the woman walking, stopped and took her into custody.  The woman was wanted for theft under $5000 X11, failure to comply with a probation order X10, failure to comply with release order X4, and failure to comply with undertaking.

She is being held in custody and will appear in court today, March 24, 2026.

 

Theft Arrest

A 30-year-old Peterborough man is facing several charges after an incident Monday evening.

At approximately 5:30pm on March 23, 2026, officers with the Community F.I.R.S.T Unit were on general patrol when they were made aware of a theft in progress at a business in the Charlotte Street and Aylmer Street area. Upon arrival, officers spotted a man matching the description given to police walking on Aylmer Street.  Officers approached the man and took him into custody.  Several items from the store were located with the suspect and returned. During the investigation it was learned that the suspect was also wanted in connection with a theft incident from another store on February 19, 2026. 

As a result, a 30-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:

  • Theft Under $5000 X2
  • Fail to comply with probation order X7

The accused is currently bound by four probation orders with the following conditions: to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not attend the business involved in the incident on March 23, 2026.

The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, March 24, 2026.

 

Warrant Arrest

A 41-year-old Peterborough man wanted on warrants for theft is facing new charges after he was located Monday evening.

At approximately 9:40pm on March 23, 2026, officers with Community F.I.R.S.T were on patrol in the Chemong Road and Bellevue Street area when they spotted the man walking through a parking lot. Officers were aware the man was wanted on warrant for theft under $5000 X9 and Fail to stop for an accident and took him into custody. Through investigation it was learned that the man was wanted in connection with three other theft incidents from August and December 2025 and January 2026.

As a result, a 41-year-old Peterborough man was arrested on the strength of the warrants and further charged with:

  • Theft under $5000 X3

The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, March 24, 2026.
