B&E Arrest

A 28-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges in connection with two recent incidents.

At approximately 12:30am on October 28, 2025, officers were called to the area of Simcoe Street and Aylmer Street about an unwanted person.  Officers located a man matching the description given to police and recognized that the man was also wanted in connection with a break and enter as well as theft from vehicles.

On Monday, October 27, 2025, a call was received about a break and enter to a business in the Water Street and Charlotte Street area in which a door damaged and some items taken. 

On Tuesday, October 21, 2025, officers were called about a man breaking into vehicles near George Street and Sherbrooke Street before fleeing the area.  One vehicle was damaged.

As a result of the investigation, a 28-year-old Peterborough was arrested and charged with:

  • Theft Under $5000
  • Mischief Under $5000
  • Break, Enter a Place - Commit Indictable Offence
  • Mischief - Destroys or Damages Property
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order x4

The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, October 28, 2025.

 

Warrant Arrest

A 41-year-old Peterborough man wanted on two warrants was arrested after officers responded to a disturbance call around Charlotte Street and Bethune Streets in Peterborough.

At approximately 4:00pm on October 27, 2025, officers responded to that call and realized one of the men was wanted for carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon while prohibited, theft under $5000, fraud under $5000, breach of probation and failing to attend court after having appeared. 

As a result, a 41-year-old Peterborough man was arrested on strength of the warrants. He is being held in custody and will appear in court today, October 28, 2025.
