Road Rage Incident Arrest
A 34-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after a road rage incident Saturday afternoon.
At approximately 3:50pm on August 30, 2025, officers were called to the Bowers Park area about a group causing a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers determined that call was unfounded. However, in speaking with the group officers learned that there had been a road rage altercation between a motorist and a person on an e-scooter a few hours earlier and that the person on the e-scooter had been hanging around the parking lot. As the person on the e-scooter was no longer in the area and there was no basis to the call for service, officers left.
Shortly after a second call came in stating that the man on the e-scooter had returned and brandished a knife at the group. One person received a minor injury during an altercation that ensued. Officers returned to the scene and took the male into custody as he was being held by the group.
As a result of the investigation, a 34-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Assault with A Weapon
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court, October 7, 2025.

Upon arrival, officers located a vehicle about 40 feet off the road and in a tree. The driver was not injured. Officers noticed signs of impairment and conducted a roadside sobriety test.
As a result of the investigation, a 39-year-old Peterborough woman was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was issued an automatic 90-day license suspension and seven-day vehicle impoundment.
The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court, October 7, 2025.
