Impaired Arrest
A 65-year-old Millbrook man is facing an impaired charge after a concerned motorist reported a vehicle in a ditch Tuesday night.
At approximately 9:00pm on March 17, 2026, officers were called to the area of Tapley ¼ Line and County Road 21. Upon arrival, officers located a vehicle in the ditch. It was still running and a man in the driver’s seat. While speaking to the driver, officers noticed signs of impairment and took him into custody.
As a result of the investigation, a 65-year-old Millbrook man was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was issued an automatic 90-day license suspension and a seven-day vehicle impoundment.
The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court April 28, 2026.
RIDE Detail – St. Patrick’s Day
Officers with the Peterborough Police Service conducted a St. Patrick’s Day RIDE detail Tuesday night.
They set up at three different locations – one in the Township of Cavan-Monaghan and two in Peterborough.
In all:
- 397 vehicles were stopped
- 22 Roadside tests were administered with all passing

Pedestrian Struck
A Peterborough driver was charged under the Highway Traffic Act after a pedestrian was struck while crossing the road at Chemong Road and Millroy Drive.
The incident happened at approximately 4:30pm on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. The pedestrian was taken to Peterborough Regional Health Centre for treatment of minor injuries.
