Drug Investigation 

One person is facing drug charges, and a second person was arrested on bail violations after a drug investigation.

On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, the Peterborough Police Service Intelligence and Drug Unit along with the Emergency Response Team (ERT) executed a drug warrant at 196 Park Street North (Park Street North and Dalhousie Street). 

Officers seized:

  • 32.4grams of Cocaine
  • Canadian currency

As a result of the investigation:

A 20-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine
  • Failure to comply with release order - other than to attend court

The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, November 19, 2025.

A 42-year-old Peterborough man located within the residence was found to be in violation of a release order and was arrested and charged with:

  • Failure to comply with release order - other than to attend court

The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, November 19, 2025.

 

Impaired Arrest

A 31-year-old Peterborough man is facing impaired charges after a collision Tuesday afternoon.

At approximately 5:30pm on November 18, 2025, officers were called to the intersection of Sherbrooke Street and Goodfellow Road about a rear-end collision and a possible impaired driver. Upon arrival, officers noticed signs of impairment with one of the drivers.  No one was injured in the collision.

As a result of the investigation, a 31-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:

  • Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was issued an automatic 90-day license suspension and a seven-day vehicle impoundment. 

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court December 30, 2025.
