Bomb Threat – Update – Arrest
An arrest has been made in connection with a bomb threat at Lansdowne Place in Peterborough last month.
The incident on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, resulted in the mall being evacuated and shut down for several hours while police investigated the validity of the threat.
Through investigation, officers with the Peterborough Police Service Major Crime Unit were able to identify a suspect. The suspect was taken into custody without incident on Thursday, March 6, 2025.

Impaired Arrest
A 62-year-old Oshawa woman is facing an impaired charge after an incident Thursday afternoon.
At approximately 4:15pm on March 6, 2025, officers were called about a possible impaired driver asleep at the wheel in the Simcoe Street and Aylmer Street area. Upon arrival, officers noticed the vehicle was half on the road and half on the sidewalk and there were signs of impairment with the driver.

A 34-year-old Buckhorn man is facing charges after an single vehicle collision Wednesday morning.
