October Road Safety Campaign
The Peterborough Police Service will be conducting a month-long enforcement campaign around the big four driving offences.
The big four are:
- Seatbelt offences
- Aggressive driving
- Impaired driving
- Distracted driving
The enforcement campaign coincides with the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police (CACP) Operation Impact which takes place over the Thanksgiving long weekend.

Stabbing – Update
Two Peterborough men have been charged in connection with a stabbing last Friday (September 27, 2024) evening at Millennium Park.
Through investigation, the suspects were identified. On Wednesday, October 2, 2024, officers with the Investigative Services Unit arrested the two men at a Peterborough residence.

Fire - Rubidge Street
The Peterborough Police Service and Ontario Fire Marshal are investigating after a fatal fire in Peterborough Tuesday afternoon.
