Fraudulent Activity
The Peterborough Police Service is warning residents and businesses to be aware of scams as we get into the holiday season.
In this case, a local business was contacted to purchase advertising in a “children’s activity guide” to support Peterborough Regional Health Centre (PRHC). PRHC has indicated that they do not have any affiliation with the group or any such publication.

Break and Enter Arrest
A 26-year-old Peterborough man is facing a break and enter charge after an incident early Wednesday morning.
At approximately 4:45 am on November 27, 2024, officers were called to a business in the Charlotte Street and Downie Street area after a report of an unwanted person in the business. Arson Investigation – Update - Arrest
A 26-year-old Peterborough man is facing an arson charge in connection with a fire at an outbuilding Thursday, November 21, 2024.
Thank you to the public for their assistance.
As a result of the investigation, a 26-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:

Peterborough Police Service has opened a Request for Proposal for Vehicle Towing Services.
The RFP is for the supply of 24-hour towing services and vehicle secure storage pound facilities for use by the PPS within the City of Peterborough, the Township of Cavan Monaghan and the Village of Lakefield for the 2025 through 2029 term.
